I am the owner & head stylist at Curracloe. I am an Internationally Certified Master Groomer & City & Guilds Level 3 professionally qualified groomer. I have a BA Hons degree in Sociology & Criminology. I have also completed Think Dog! A canine behaviour & psychology course.
I am a firm believer in the continued professional development of both myself and my team and am currently completing the Level 4 Higher Diploma in Professional Dog Grooming.
I have always been a keen animal lover and owned dogs my whole life. I am now the proud owner of two Miniature Schnauzers & a Miniature Poodle. Izzy, Joey & Red have all have joined me in the competition ring!

I also hold the City & Guilds 77303/04 qualification in teaching adults and am an assessor for the City & Guilds Level 3 professional grooming qualification.
I have been grooming since 2006 & opened the salon in 2007.
I regularly complete in both National & International grooming competitions & attend a variety of grooming seminars & demonstrations to keep up to date with all the new trends and techniques in the industry.
I won Best In Show with Joey at the English Dog Groomers Challenge 2013.
Kelly - Senior Groomer
Kelly is an integral part of Curracloe & has been working as a Senior Groomer with us since 2009.
Kelly is a City & Guilds Level 3 Qualified Professional Groomer & holds a certificate in Canine First Aid.
Kelly has always had a great love for animals and is aiming the start the ICMG qualification to continue to further her education & training .
Growing up Kelly owned Irish Wolf Hounds, a Dalmatian & currently a Miniature Poodle called Barclay.
The Story of our Dog Grooming Salon's name
Having an Irish mother, regular trips to Ireland growing up were a common thing. We would visit Co. Wexford, on the South East Coast.
At the beginning of 2004 at aged 13 sadly we lost Steffi, our Labrador cross who was an Irish dog. She was greatly missed and the house was far too quiet for us. In the summer we went to Ireland and decided to get another dog so we visited the WSPCA (Wexford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Unfortunately the day we went they did not have any puppies. Later that day, they rang us to say a litter of pups were found dumped by a man walking on Curracloe beach. We went back and fell in love. As they were dumped on Curracloe beach I decided to name them Cassie & Chloe.
How Cassie and Chloe Inspired My Journey into Dog Grooming
Cassie and Chloe were the first dogs I ever had to get groomed and was unaware of the world of dog grooming prior to getting them. So, the day came when they had to go to the dog groomers, I brought them in, spoke to the lady at the dog grooming salon and walked out with my dogs. I was not happy with the way she spoke to me and handled my dogs. It was at that point that I then decided that I was going to take a dog grooming course and learn how to groom my own dogs as well as others.
I did an intensive dog grooming course and then my career as a dog groomer began. When I opened my dog grooming salon in London, UK and was thinking of a name I thought it only fair that it was named after my girls, after all they are the real reason I began dog grooming.
We all still go over to Ireland and the girls love it, they chase each other all over the beach chasing the seagulls and swimming out to sea!
